At Seapoint Lodge we have been welcoming international guests to our bed and breakfast for nearly twenty years. Many guests return again and again resulting in lasting enjoyable friendships. Our accommodation has been recommended by several international guides as an interesting, fun place to stay.

Let’s Go, Le Guide de Routard and Spartacus the International Gay Travel Guide, amongst others, have been good for us for many years. We have never wished to be like a hotel, rather we offer a traditional style bed and breakfast experience. guests are assured of a naturally friendly, Irish home experience.

As we are a small bed and breakfast unit our guests are assured of our personal attention at all times. We take time to help guests plan their days here in Castletownbere and Beara - and we are of course pleased to give whatever assistance guests need. If required we do a drop - off and pick-up for both walks and buses and we prepare packed lunches for picnics.

Our bed and breakfast accommodation is in a modern, centrally heated house in a large, private, mature garden setting with wonderful sea views, - only 5 minutes by car to Castletownbere. At Seapoint Lodge we offer guests free secure parking.

On arrival at Seapoint Lodge, guests are welcomed with tea and cakes. (If late, we prepare a light supper - by prior arrangement.) Seapoint Lodge Bed and Breakfast is decorated in subdued, relaxing tones throughout with quality furnishings and linen. All rooms are complete with good showers and wc.

The cosy guest lounge has a marvellous view of the harbour - almost at your finger-tips - with little boats coming and going, Bere Island, Bantry Bay and Sheep’s Head peninsula enhancing the scene. Guests relax here (by the wood-burning stove on wet days, you know you will get some?!) and are welcome to enjoy our extensive selection of movies, books and games.

Guests too have been known to stay up late enjoying an international sing - song round the piano.

We have a resident storyteller at Seapoint Lodge Bed and Breakfast, Teddy Black and guests always enjoy his interesting and entertaining presentations on history, archaeology and folklore - absolutely spellbinding. Your trips in Beara and West Cork will be more interesting as a result of these talks and you will often recall the stories you heard at Seapoint Lodge Castletownbere, long after you return to your own country.

At breakfast you will be inspired by fabulous views on the harbour with the added bonus of a ship - wreck right there outside the window, to spike your imagination and indulge in even more stories and fun.

Breakfasts are lazy and delicious at Seapoint Lodge Bed and Breakfast - fresh juices, home made breads, local cheeses, freshly brewed arabica coffee and many more yummy choices so you will be sure to find something you like. By prior arrangement, we provide light suppers of local mussels with crusty bread or baked local Milleens Cheese with a green salad and a good bottle of wine.

We invite you to spend some days here with us at Seapoint Lodge Bed and Breakfast and we feel sure it will be a highlight of your vacation in Ireland. To appreciate what our people and region have to offer we suggest three days or more.
